Prof De Angelis wins NATO SPS award with the project OPTIMIST!

OPTIcal liMIing and SwiTching with nanoscale photonic structures (OPTIMIST) has been funded under the NATO SPS 2020 programme! OPTIMIST aims at the following goals:

- build a dynamic model to analyse simultaneously optical and thermal effects in phase change materials based photonic nanostructures;

- synthesize and characterize structures for the visible and infrared spectral regions;

- test the devices for eye and sensor protection.

The project is coordinated by the Brescia Unit of the National Institute of Optics (INO-CNR) in collaboration with Australian National University.
